Tuesday May Thomas grew up in Ireland. She began meditating at the age of sixteen, singing live on stage at seventeen, and seeing auras at the age of eighteen . At twenty she started Hatha Yoga studies with an Irish elder.
A practicing Reiki Master since 2001, Tuesday has shared an infinite number of Reiki attunements with individuals all over the world, including bed-bound patients in hospitals, and elders in the nursing home community.
She became a certified Yoga Instructor in 2002 and began working with wheelchair bound patients in the nursing home and rehab setting. Tuesday further implemented Reiki & Chair Yoga activity programs with individuals and groups in assisted living, hospice, and skilled nursing communities from New York to Los Angeles.
Tuesday is featured in an article at Forbes.com, and speaks on the theme "Like attracts Like." Her first professional article "Reiki adds a new dimension to the term 'Quality of Life' in the nursing home community" was published in the prestigious American Journal of Recreation Therapy in 2005. Since then she has written a series of articles for The Sedona Journal of Emergence, and uses her ‘ReikiApprentice’ blog to explore the metaphysical mind/body continuum, serving the reader as medicine for awakening Spiritual Self Mastery.
She has trained and certified scores of Activity Leaders, Caregivers, Healthcare Workers and Yoga Teachers with her Chair Yoga For Everybody Teacher Training programs that include Chair Yoga, Therapeutic Touch and Mindful Meditation. Her training programs are approved by the California Department of Social Services. Tuesday published a Chair Yoga Teacher's Manual that shares everything she has learned about teaching yoga in healthcare settings, including working with bed bound patients.
An official Presenter at the 6th International Conference on Aging and Spirituality in Los Angeles 2015, Tuesday facilitated a series of professional presentations on the value of Reiki & Therapeutic Touch in the healthcare setting.
